On Monday, Leicester Crown Court was told communication data and information recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test over the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a trip in Portugal - is one of the most publicized investigations and continues to be open.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One phone message, presented in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm heavy and plain like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail said: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I'm her? What happens next? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a living here in Poland, I just want to know," she added.

The panel was informed that through emails, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a childhood with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with law enforcement who collated the information, advised the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, the father responded to a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I won't give up and I plan to establish my claim."

The court learned the co-defendant established a connection online with Ms Wandelt prior to joining her on a visit to the McCanns' residence in that area in last December.

Phone records showed Mrs Spragg had communicated via communication app to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the time before the visit to that location, the county, in that winter.

The court was told correspondence between the two individuals, in November 2024, planning attempting to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from cutlery at a eating establishment.

"We must make a stand," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the appearance to their house, Mrs Spragg transmitted a communication which said: "We're currently sitting adjacent to the McCanns' home with our lights out like private investigators. I wanted to achieve this with someone else I hadn't anticipated I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
