Chiefs Acknowledge Domestic Violence Claims Connected to Player the Athlete

The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement Wednesday night stating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver the athlete and had been in communication with the league office.

The team omitted the name of the player specifically in their statement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete by name, shared a set of images on social media that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. She did say the person involved was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with the football player, whom the team drafted in the 2023 draft.

Player's Recent Legal Issues
