Dominant Sabalenka Claims Consecutive WTA Player of the Year Honors.

The tennis star in action
The Belarusian player ended the season with an impressive 23-3 Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive season.

The twenty-seven-year-old won four titles – the most on tour – including retaining the US Open this past September versus Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Year of Consistency

Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a tour-best nine championship matches, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also triumphed at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the entire year as the top-ranked player, ending 2025 atop the rankings for a second successive year.

In July, she achieved the status of being the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Historic Numbers

Sabalenka concluded the season with a 63-12 match record, and picked up a record eleven million pounds in prize money.

She earned nearly eighty percent of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

On 28 December, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "elevate women's tennis to a greater prominence".
